Summer’s High Pressure Lifts Aranya
Swedish summer offers both sun and rain, but at Aranya, the high pressure is constant. During a few intense summer months, over 5,000 units will be configured, transported, and installed. With the right skills and clear processes, the team keeps the pace high and grows with the task.
In the spring of 2025, Aranya won two strategically important procurements – first Nacka municipality, and shortly thereafter Haninge. Together, the deals include over 5,000 network units to be installed and commissioned before autumn. The projects represent an important step in the company’s growth journey, and the entire organization is pooling its resources during the delivery.
– When the first deal landed, we immediately felt: this is big. When the next one came two weeks later, we immediately started to ramp up, says Daniel Lahti, who works as Head of Service Delivery at Aranya.
Daniel is responsible for the entire delivery team, and his role includes planning, resourcing, and coordinating everything from service desk to technicians and project managers. With a strong focus on structure and delivery precision, he is a key person in ensuring that Aranya meets the schedule and delivers with quality, even when the pace is high.
– The best thing I know is to face challenges together with a team that wants to move forward. Everyone wants to succeed, and that is the feeling we are building the company on, says Daniel.
Robust Structures and the Right People
Getting several thousand units in place during a few summer months requires meticulous planning and close interaction between several functions. The work involves technicians, project managers, developers, logistics personnel and partners, and the equipment delivered is both bulky and heavy. Everything from configuration to installation, delivery and reporting needs to work in a flow, and in the right order without unnecessary stops.
To make it work, Aranya relies on robust structures for logistics, configuration and billing, and carried out proof of concept and pilot installations early in the project.
– By fine-tuning the processes at a slower pace, we ensured a smooth rollout when the volumes increased, says Daniel Lahti.
Succeeding in a tight installation project requires not only functioning processes, but also that the team consists of people with the right skills, drive and understanding of the mission. Aranya puts a lot of effort into recruitment and puts together its delivery teams with care and precision.
– We talk about “right person, right seat”, says Daniel. When everyone pulls in the same direction, a lot can be done in a short time.
Governance, Structure and Community
To keep the work together, Aranya has a structured way of working with daily and weekly check-ins. Every morning, a joint stand-up is held where the day’s tasks are reviewed. In the delivery department, where both the service desk and the delivery group are located, there is a dashboard with a bar that visualizes the journey towards the goal. The daily work is complemented by clear management from the management.
– The whole company is fully focused and everyone, regardless of role, takes responsibility for ensuring that we are constantly steering in the right direction, says Daniel.
The deals with Nacka and Haninge municipalities have meant that Aranya has been able to both recruit and create new roles internally. This means new opportunities, both for the organization and for individual employees.
– This is a milestone. We develop and grow with the task, and we do it together, says Daniel.
