MINC is a hub for Malmö’s tech entrepreneurs and a hotbed where the innovations of the future can take root. In the past, the network was a constant source of frustration, important meetings were canceled, and the shaky connection was common knowledge. “Today Iamincredibly proud that the talk in town instead is that we have a network that works really well,” says Daniel Persson, CEO of MINC.
MINC, owned by the City of Malmö, functions as an incubator with a mission to support entrepreneurs and create growth. It builds the companies of the future and the new engines of the economy. Operations are conducted in a 5,000 square meter building with one hundred office spaces, where a stable internet connection is a basic prerequisite for the entrepreneurs’ work.
– When I took over 2021 the internet connection was a big problem. The network had been built up in stages and consisted of a number of small solutions that made it unstable and unreliable,” says Daniel Persson, CEO of MINC.
There were several reasons why the network was not working well. The construction of the building made it difficult for radio signals to penetrate, and the proximity to the port entrance with radar signals from ferries affected connectivity. In addition, users brought their own equipment, which created disorder in the technical environment.
– For our tenants, this was a major frustration, and we had no internal expertise to solve the problems in the long term. Important investor meetings had to be canceled, and many chose to go home and work instead.
The unreliable network within the city meant that MINC risked losing its credibility as Malmö’s tech hub. The situation became particularly apparent during the pandemic when many were forced to hold their sales meetings digitally and a shaky connection risked having negative consequences for the entrepreneurs’ business.
Daniel and MINC knew that they needed a better solution and looked for a partner who could take a holistic approach. After a simplified tender, the choice fell on Aranya.
– No other supplier could match Aranya’s solution in price and quality.
Aranya started with a thorough analysis of the network and identified several problem areas. To create a stable and future-proof solution, a new network structure was implemented with a unified Wi-Fi network covering the entire building and a standardized method for users to connect their equipment.
– Today we have a one-stop-shop solution where we buy wifi, LAN and firewalls as a service. Looking back, it is one of the best investments we could have made.
To minimize disruptions, proactive monitoring was introduced, which allows any problems to be detected and addressed by Aranya before they affect operations. Maintenance is ongoing and MINC staff rarely have to deal with any network-related issues themselves.
– Today, the network works without interruption, and entrepreneurs can focus on their business without worrying about technology.
Daniel describes the relationship with Aranya as more than a traditional relationship between a customer and a supplier. They have regular check-ins and a shared ambition to continuously improve the infrastructure. Colleagues at MINC appreciate the personal and professional service with network architects and support engineers who take the time to understand the needs and who are always available when the need arises.
– We feel that Aranya genuinely cares about our business and does his utmost to make everything run smoothly. The cooperation is characterized by transparency, commitment and a feeling that we are working towards the same goal.

Norlandia is a leading provider of care and welfare services, and without a stable and secure connection, security alarms, medical record systems and digital check-ins and check-outs in the preschools will not work.
