Network architect building future-proof solutions
Jonas Hammarbäck started his journey in the IT industry with PC support and then found his home as a network architect. After thirty years in the industry, he has faced complex challenges in both private companies and public organizations, and has through different perspectives refined his ability to design innovative solutions. At Aranya, he is a key player, helping to create security and efficiency for both customers and colleagues.
Regulatory requirements are tightening as cybercrimes increase in number and complexity. These developments are changing the way organizations view and manage their networks, and the focus is no longer just on keeping threats out. It is now also about protecting the inside, to prevent malware from spreading between systems and departments.
– The increased threat landscape has changed the way networks are designed and managed. Many choose to supplement their firewalls with measures such as network segmentation,” says Jonas Hammarbäck, who works as a network architect at Aranya.
The right solution that delivers over time
Designing and configuring a network may seem simple, but the complexity is in the details. Without specialist knowledge, it’s easy to make mistakes that can affect performance and security or create bottlenecks that limit operations. Jonas emphasizes the importance of really understanding the needs, rather than casually delivering what the customer first asks for.
– When we dig deeper, we often find other, underlying needs. That’s when we can create solutions that deliver the most value over time.
For example, a customer who wants to introduce network segmentation may express that they want to place the clients in different VLANs.
– I can present different options with pros and cons. Often it turns out that roles and rules between clients is a smoother and more cost-effective option,” says Jonas.
Business acquisitions, start-ups and technology developments are other factors driving the need to upgrade network infrastructure. Organizations need technology solutions that balance security, performance and flexibility – not only to meet today’s demands, but to remain competitive and meet customer expectations in the future.
– It’s not just about security, but also about adapting solutions to new business requirements and accelerating digitalization.
Collaboration and knowledge sharing as key to success
Aranya has a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing and employees with technical excellence. As specialists in networking, they continuously train and are driven by a genuine curiosity to develop.
– There is always someone to consult here, whatever the challenge. This community enables us to deliver solutions that are both technically optimized and give customers peace of mind,” says Jonas Hammarbäck.
