How We Can Make AI Use Safer in the Workplace
AI offers us great opportunities to work smarter. But to use the technology safely, we also need to understand the risks. In a recent article in *Ingenjören*, our cybersecurity expert and colleague Åsa Schwarz explains what can happen when employees share company information through personal AI accounts.
For us at Aranya, the message is clear: it should be easy for employees to use AI safely. This requires approved tools, clear guidelines, and an understanding of what information may be shared.
Removing a client’s name or logo isn’t always enough. A code snippet or diagram can still reveal sensitive information about the company’s systems and technical solutions. At the same time, the terms and conditions may differ between personal accounts and services procured by the company.
We would like to highlight three things in particular:
- Make it easy to do the right thing. Specify which tools, accounts, and types of information are approved.
- Build understanding. Help employees recognize sensitive content.
- Take action when something goes wrong. Contact the IT or security department if sensitive information has been shared. Deleting the chat is not enough.
We see great potential in AI. With the right conditions in place, we can capitalize on these opportunities while protecting our business information.
